Feature Limits

Chartiny provides multiple tools such as Backtesting, Time Machine, and Expiry Matrix. Access to features varies based on user type, subscription status, and beta feature availability.

1. User Types & Feature Access

Chartiny supports multiple levels of access:

• Anonymous Users

  • Limited access to tools and historical data
  • Restricted configuration options
  • Intended for exploration and basic understanding

• Signed-In (Free) Users

  • Expanded access to features and controls
  • Moderate historical data availability
  • Suitable for regular analysis and learning

• Paid Users

  • Full access to all core features
  • Maximum configuration flexibility
  • Full historical data availability

• Paid Users with Beta Features Enabled

  • Access to experimental and in-development features
  • Features may be unstable, incomplete, or subject to change

2. Backtesting Limitations

Backtesting functionality depends on the user type:

• Anonymous Users

  • Can modify stop-loss (SL) and take-profit (TP) values
  • Cannot change strike prices
  • Cannot change entry time or exit time

• Signed-In (Free) Users

  • Can modify SL and TP
  • Can change strike prices
  • Can change exit time
  • Cannot change entry time

• Paid Users

  • Can modify SL and TP
  • Can change strike prices
  • Can change both entry time and exit time
  • Full control over strategy configuration

• Beta Backtesting Features

  • Available only to paid users with beta features enabled
  • Logic, metrics, or UI may change without notice

3. Time Machine Limitations

The Time Machine tool allows users to view historical market conditions with the following restrictions:

• Anonymous Users

  • Can view market data up to 1 month in the past

• Signed-In (Free) Users

  • Can view market data up to 1 year in the past

• Paid Users

  • Can view complete market history from 2020 to the present

4. Expiry Matrix Limitations

Expiry selection in the Expiry Matrix is limited as follows:

• Anonymous Users

  • Can select expiries from the last 1 month only

• Signed-In (Free) Users

  • Can select expiries from a longer historical range (up to 1 year)

• Paid Users

  • Can access all expiries from 2020 to the present

5. Other Pages & Tools

• Many other pages and tools on Chartiny follow a similar limitation structure
• Feature depth, configuration options, and historical coverage increase with user level
• Some advanced tools may be entirely restricted to paid users
• Certain features may be marked as beta and require explicit opt-in

6. Important Notes

• All simulations, backtests, and historical views are for educational and research purposes only
• Backtested results are hypothetical and do not guarantee future performance
• Feature availability, limits, and historical coverage may change over time
• Chartiny reserves the right to modify or restrict features without prior notice
